So, I sang this tonight. For some reason, I was more nervous than I have EVER been. I sounded shaky and horrible. But although it wasn’t my best performance, it’s all about the message that the song is trying to express.

1) Discuss your current relationship status.
Well, I’m single. And I’m NOT talking to anyone. There’s not really much to it.
And I have been single since 2007. Actually, let’s just not count the first one as a real relationship. I was too young. So, my whole life ;D
I could give you a million excuses as to why I don’t have a boyfriend but that’s just lame. It’s not like I’m focusing on school, or no guy would give me the time of day (because that’s not it). *Insert sarcasm*
But seriously, the time’s not right. My mind’s not in the right place.
Contentment.
I have just discovered that I have successfully achieved an “A” for each of my dual enrollment classes (although there are only two - English III and US History) at STC. As for my high school report card, it could have been better.
Ideal thinking: “You know you can do so much better. You’re just lazy. Strive for A’s. If you want to go up in ranking (down in number) in order to attend DocPrep and graduate top ten percent, do as much as you possibly can to get there.”
Actual thinking: “Oh, that isn’t bad. Well, at least it isn’t a C. My class isn’t that competitive.”
2010: Actual thinking > Ideal thinking; 2011: Ideal thinking IS my actual thinking.
I wish those counselors would maintain our current GPA along with rank. It would really help.
Anyways, today is not to be focused on school, GPA, etc. It should be focused on GOD. The seventh day was made for us to rest - rest from the stress that the world has brought upon us. He has blessed us with this even if we don’t deserve it. It is only fair to focus on Him today if not all the time.
We should be focusing on Heavenly things as opposed to the worldly things we so often admire.
I thank God for pulling me through a week without worrying about anything.
